On
9th June 13 we are hosting 'Open Farm Sunday'
This
is a national event and is intended to encourage everyone to visit
the countryside for the day to have fun and see how it is being
looked after. Also you can see how we produce the food you eat and
generally see how farming works. |
|
The
day starts at 11 am and finishes at 4 pm. Sorry no dogs
are allowed on the Estate during the day but you are
most welcome to bring a picnic! Hot Food, ice creams,
teas and other drinks can be purchased throughout the
day.
The
day is free, however if you would like to help the countryside,
this year we are collecting for a number of countryside
charities .
The
farm is accessible for adventurous wheelchair users,
however, we have limited toilet facilities available
for the disabled and some walking may be necessary. |
|
There
is simply something for all the Family.... |

For the
children we have: tractors and a combine harvester to climb
up into, a woodland walk, a chance to hold a barn owl, also
you are able to get close to cows, sheep and chickens. Also
we have trailer rides and pond dipping. |

For the
adults we have: a chance to talk to the farmers and
see how we produce the crops that you eat, find out the history
of our rare breed cattle, walk though our new woodland and
see all the different native trees, learn about the butterfles
and mammals in our locality. We also have local crafts and
local produce to buy. |

For the
older ones we have: vintage tractors and working standing
engines, thatching demonstrations, a woodman at work and also
find out how we are protecting our wildlife habitats. |
As
you can see we hope to have lots of activities going on and
my team and I very much look forward to welcoming you on the
day!
Please
email us to be sure of a place on the day at office@trinley.co.uk.
Thank you. |
